Privacy Policy
In the following privacy policy, we inform you about the extent to which data is collected when using the Puckhunter app and explain your rights in this context.
Personal Data
Personal data refers to information that can be traced back to an individual. This includes information such as your name or email address. Data that is purely quantitative, such as the number of users per day, is not considered personal data.
Usage Analysis / Tracking
We do not use external tracking providers to collect data in the app, and we do not transmit data to third parties. All functions of Puckhunter that involve user behavior, such as entered ice hockey games or uploaded images, are encrypted and transmitted to the server, where they are stored in association with the user account.
What Data is Transmitted?
When you use Puckhunter, data is loaded from our servers to keep your app up to date, such as the current newsfeed with games from friends or all other users, as well as lists of stadiums and teams. For communication, an ID is generated during installation, which is sent with every communication to our servers.
To allocate the corresponding data to the correct device, the following data is additionally stored:
App Usage with User Account
With a user account, you have the opportunity to access certain features such as entering games and viewing a list of games entered by you and other users. For this purpose, the following information is required and stored on our servers:
An ID is automatically assigned to your user account, and the device with which you log in or register is linked to this user account. We place great emphasis on data protection and have endeavored to request only the necessary data to ensure usage. By creating a user account, your entered games are transmitted to the server. When you enter a game, the check-in, along with your username, appears in the public newsfeed. Transmission to our servers is also necessary if you want to synchronize multiple of your own devices. Other users have the option to view your entered games within the app as well.
Individual analysis or evaluation of games entered in Puckhunter does not take place. We reserve the right to view this data in individual cases for error analysis and to use it for quantitative evaluations. If you contact us via the feedback form in the app, your username and email is saved to your message
Location Data
In the Puckhunter app, you have the option to display nearby stadiums based on your current location. If you allow the app access to your location, the location is processed on your device and transmitted to the server. The location is neither stored on your device nor on the server.
App Permissions
In order to use all features of the Puckhunter app, the app must be able to access various functions and data on your device. Therefore, it is technically necessary for you to grant the app certain permissions. If you do not want to grant certain permissions, you cannot use some functions of the app. Below, we inform you about the permissions the Puckhunter app requires and what they are used for:
The information provided by you is transmitted encrypted to prevent misuse of the data by third parties. All collected data is stored on servers in Germany and is subject to German data protection laws.
Duration of Storage and Retention Periods
We store your data for as long as necessary to provide our services and related services, or as long as we have a legitimate interest in further storage. In all other cases, we delete your personal data, except for data that we must continue to retain to comply with legal (e.g., tax or commercial) retention periods (e.g., invoices).
Correction and Deletion of Your Data
If you have registered with a user account on Puckhunter, you can edit your data (name, email address, and password) directly within your profile in the app.
If you wish to delete your user account, please use the "Delete Account" function within your profile. All your data will be removed from our servers within a few minutes.
You have the right to information about your data. For information and suggestions regarding data protection, we are available at the email address feedback@puckhunter.net.
